Auckland is New Zealand's largest city with more than 1 million people living in the greater Auckland area. Located at at a narrow point 1/4 of the way down from the top of the North Island between the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea.

Auckland is both a busy city and an area with much serene natural beauty. Amongst other things, Auckland is famous for its spectacular harbour and for its cultural diversity. Auckland is a young, sophisticated and cosmopolitan city, offering an extensive choice of entertainment options (film, theatre and music of all kinds) as well as a very good range of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Auckland gives you easy access to the outdoors, with stunning beaches, the waters and islands of the Hauraki Gulf, and regional parks close by. Auckland is the gateway to New Zealand's unique North Island attractions, including the world famous thermal area of Rotorua, the lakes and the mountains and ski fields of the central North island.
